womens dilemma

WOMEN’S DILEMMA

We more so often talk about the atrocities that women are required top face in today’s world, we say that ours is a male dominated society and women are subject to intolerable pain and torture both physical and mental.

But how many times have you come across the following phrases, “Girl died due to suicide”, “women missing”, “A women burnt alive”. We daily go through such phrases and keep on ignoring them as if these are the events that we have become used to them.

Have you ever given a thought that what kind of torture women in our country are required to face, girls, daughter-in-laws, mothers, sisters. Almost 75% of our female population is subject to such pain everyday.

Most of the time we female ourselves are responsible for all this. How many times have you seen a mother-in-law coming ahead and fighting for something in support of her daughter-in-law, we can even find that mothers are the one that force there daughters to go through tremendous mental suffering (even more if the mother is illiterate). We talk about women’s liberation, rights of women, freedom and equality for females. But how many times has anyone tried for educating the elder women about how the world is changing and that they are required to change along with the changing society. How many mother in laws are aware about the laws against dowry,

We have made such laws we are trying to educate the girls, we are providing them incentives to encourage them to take an initiative about such, but are they really been implemented, the answer is no in most of the cases if we talk about our big cities we may say that yes women have taken a stand for themselves, but just if we travel a little further from these big cities the role of such plans and policies keep on declining very rapidly.

Most of he women even if they know about such policies or changes that are required to be made they don’t have the courage to stand for the same, or themselves are not wanting to improve the situation that they are facing it’s a fact especially in the females in rural areas.

So may be its just not about the society that is responsible for poor behavior against women, coz women themselves allow to be taken for granted and they themselves are a part of this society and they are equally responsible for the same.
